in exchange for fishing

the middle brother
grinning in a a scrolled camera roll picture
that tells the story of something captured
and released

why?

dismissed casually by its identification
the percussive name
caught the auntie’s attention

later she investigates
mysteries are revealed
yet the disregard
signified
a weekend escape
